描述

Level ML-400是一片浅滩，其平均水深大概在2～3㎝之间，水温常年恒定于24～27℃。其拥有24小时昼夜更替，气候与前厅的温带海洋性气候相仿。值得注意的是，目前尚未发现其出现降雨。

Level ML-400的水面较平缓，水流速度较慢，正常情况下，其水面不会出现任何波动。其海床由沙构成，且同样极其平缓，仅会在少数情况下出现零碎的礁石。该层级的水质较纯净，除盐分及少量无害微生物外，无任何杂质；因其为咸水，故仍不建议流浪者将该层级的水饮用。

在少数情况下，该层级的水面会呈现出极强的反射性。此时水面与天空的分界线——即地平线会产生虚化的效果，此效果较强烈，以至于在大多流浪者的眼中，地平线将完全消失，呈现出“水天相接”的景象。因该景象的极度美观性，自2017年该层级被发现以来，已有累计2.1万名流浪者有过切入该层级的记录。

Level ML-400存在一特殊效应，其为一种心理层面上的影响。即进入该层级的流浪者将会缓解大部分的负面情绪及情感，如烦躁、焦虑、抑郁等，在该层级均会受到缓解，取而代之的是较为正面且积极的情绪或情感。

值得注意的是，若流浪者离开该层级，虽不受该效应的影响，但此后一段时间流浪者的负面情绪或情感将大幅度减少。因此，该层级常被当做心理疾病的治疗点之一。

一张为数不多的记录到码头的照片。

码头（The wharf）

Level ML-400存在一特殊区域。其表现为一处码头，并呈零星状少量分布于该层级中。

通常，在接近码头的区域，水深会由外而内逐渐增加至12～19㎝之间——这是判断自身是否接近该区域的一个常用依据。该区域一般为由石质构成长10～13m的长堤，也有少量由木质构成。其较为破败，可在其表面观察到丛生的苔藓以及风蚀的痕迹。其周围通常存在少量船只，但均已较为破败，目前无法直接使用。

值得注意的是，虽然该层级存在码头，但其几乎不存在大片裸露出的海床。据对这些建筑物的碳-14等多种成分的测定报告，可得知该层级曾在47年前存在过一定面积的海岛，后因未知原因消失，根据该层级的现状已排除海平面上升的可能。

渔夫（The fisherman）

渔夫是Level ML-400的一个特有实体。其为一人形友善实体，外观类似40～50岁的中年男子，其通常出现在码头周围，且一个码头周围仅会出现一个个体。

该实体通常携带有整套的渔具，虽该层级尚未在水中发现任何鱼类，但其总会在该层级的傍晚时分携带以袋为单位的大量海产品回归其在码头上的住所。大多数情况下，该实体会同意与流浪者进行海产品的交易。

对于该实体捕获回的海产品，该实体常自称是从该层级相对较深的水域捕捞而来，或称与同类实体交易得来。尽管如此，目前仍未记录到该实体捕捞的画面。

基地、前哨和社区

该层级拥有一定数量的基地、前哨和社区，虽总数量达到了92个，但规模通常较小，平均人数大约为12～28人左右。以下展示具有代表性的。

M.E.G. “水面”前哨

• 目前由21名流浪者组成。
• 开放贸易且资源储备极其丰富。
• 与大部分前哨站保持友好关系。
• 开放加入。

“摄影爱好者”

• 由17名流浪者组成且成员数量持续增加。
• 如前哨名称，其成员极度爱好摄影。
• 大部分该层级的照片均由该前哨提供。
• 与大部分前哨保持友好并时刻支持合作。

入口与出口

入口

• 在任何水域层级的浅滩处切出即可来到该层级。
• 在Level ML-165喝下任何液体后会切入本层級
• 在Level 588制造一片水坑并脚踏其超过15秒即可切入该层级。

出口

• 切入一片裸露出来的海床即可进入Level ML-300。
• 平躺在水面上一段时间即可切入Level 48。
