一名流浪者记录下该层级较正常时的图片，目前确认该流浪者已成功逃离该层级。

Level ML-428，亦称“延迟沙漠”，是后室ML层群的第429层；该层级以其高度危险的独有效应而闻名。

如该层级的名称，Level ML-428表现为一片沙质荒漠，目前并未探索至其边界。因该层级独特效应的存在，对其气温、空气湿度等基本信息均无法测得其具体时段，仅记录到其白昼最高气温可达69.7℃，夜晚最低气温至-19.1℃，空气湿度一直稳定在8%以下的极低水平，且几乎不降水，而紫外线指数UV Index在白昼时通常位于12~14¹的极强程度；因该层级环境较为恶劣，流浪者在穿越该层级时请尽量携带防护用具。

Level ML-428中地势较平坦，无较大起伏；尽管记录到最高的沙丘海拔高度²约为27.9m，但其坡度极缓，与地面夹角最大处仅11.2°。虽未记录到沙尘暴等极端天气，乃至8级以上大风的出现，但该层级的沙丘仍可在4～6级风的情况下做出一定距离的移动；在这种情况下，若要建立常驻前哨，则需要做好不断迁移前哨站的准备。

Level ML-428中游荡着一定数量的实体，其中占比最大的三者分别为笑魇、悲尸与窃皮者，它们均会对流浪者展现出一定程度上的敌意，且拥有较高的智慧。它们通常会使用的攻击技巧是：埋伏在沙丘之下观察，若发现目标，则立刻冲出来进行攻击。因该层级傍晚与清晨的气温相对较适宜，该层级中的实体通常会选择在该时段出没，仅少部分能忍耐极端气候的实体会选择在正午或深夜出现。

在Level ML-428中，虽具有一定数量的智慧敌意实体，但各种可用资源在该层级中也会普遍出现。经反复测定，在该层级每1k㎡中大约会出现7个可用补给品，其中以杏仁水、火盐、瓶装闪电及罐装龙肉为主，且大部分直接暴露在层级表面，或被一层薄沙稍微掩埋。在该层级特殊效应不出现的情况下，这些物资足以帮助流浪者穿越该层级。

“延迟效应”（Phenomenon ML-428）

“延迟效应”为目前Level ML-428的独有效应，目前并未记录到该效应在其它层级发生。因其在该层级中无规律发生且持续时间长短不一，目前尚无法抑制其发生。该效应的出现，使得该层级的实体总能在流浪者仍未感知时将流浪者杀死。

该效应发生的大约前12分钟内，严重程度仍处于较低的水平。此时流浪者将感知到自身听觉、视觉与触觉等的不同步性。具体表现为：若流浪者触碰某物，则可能在视觉上看见自己已经与该物体发生接触，但一段时间后³才于触觉上感知该物体⁴；或流浪者敲打某物，也可能先在听觉上听到自身敲打该物体后的反馈声，同样一段时间后才在视觉上看到自己敲打了该物体⁵。

有时，在流浪者做出某个动作后，于流浪者视觉中的该层级会陷入除自身外一小段时间的停滞，但其它感官仍旧可做到对感官个体而言的正常反馈；除此之外，有一部分流浪者声称在破坏掉某个物体后，其会在数秒后恢复原样，并在短时间后，不管该流浪者是否做出破坏的动作，其会被再次被破坏。

在大概13分钟后，该效应的影响程度与范围将逐渐扩大。首先发生变化的即流浪者各感官的不同步性将进一步增强，目前记录到各感官在同时感受到某事件的情况下反馈相差时间最大为1分56秒⁶；同时流浪者视觉感知中所接收到的画面将在某一坐标轴上的某一点开始被拉伸，并出现高密度且越发明显的噪点，以及色调改变，甚至有时会变为负片，且通常伴随着刺耳的卡顿音效出现。若视线中出现实体，则实体的相貌同样会被极度拉伸或是扭曲，并对流浪者造成严重的精神污染。

一张记录到该效应相比上一张图片相对影响较轻的照片，已确认拍摄者逃脱出该层级。

值得注意的是，在该效应发生时，虽然能被相机拍摄到，但实则层级本身环境不会发生任何变化，例如在该效应下拉伸的区域在触觉感知上仍与效应发生前相同，推测该效应本质上是对流浪者的意识的危害。并且经过实验，若流浪者⁷在该层级受到严重效应影响⁸后切出该层级，则该效应会伴随流浪者切出该层级并直到本次效应结束⁹。但在一般情况下，因各感官反馈时间差异过大，流浪者将在层级内逐步丧失行动能力并最终葬身于沙海。

因该效应的极端危险性，建议流浪者若不慎切入Level ML-428，请迅速寻找出口并逃脱该层级。

基地、前哨和社区

目前为止记录到受效应影响最强烈的一张图片。

该层级目前不存在已知的基地、前哨和社区。尽管有数支流浪者小队曾尝试在此驻扎，但因极端危险的效应存在，无一例外这些尝试都失败告终，且这些小队均伤亡惨重，仅极少数成员幸存并均已切出该层级。

入口与出口

入口

在Level C-202Level C-202的具体外观因人而异，但该层级总是表现为一条长10米左右的走廊，且在尽头总有着一扇关闭且不可破坏的门，目前无论用何方式进入Level C-202都会到达走廊的起始处。Level C-202的异常性质为每当流浪者行走至走廊长度1/2的位置时，走廊的总长度就会变长一倍。由于这种性质，目前还没有任何方法能到达该层级的尽头，经过指向树脂的测定，已证实尽头的门并不是该层级的出口。中尝试切出会进入该层级。
于任意沙漠层级中踏入一片异常拉伸的区域也是切入Level ML-428的一大方式。

出口

在沙漠中若发现一个或多个与周围格格不入的类似房屋的建筑，走近其并切出便会来到Level C-989Level C-989是一个由大量走廊组成的非线性封闭空间，昏暗的灯光将照耀在走廊地毯之上。虽然是非线性的空间，流浪者每走出一步，视野之外的场景都将发生变化，但根据一定的规律流浪者依旧可以依次抵达三个不同的区域，分别为外环、中环和内环。因内环的原因，三个区域都被称作“环”。但实际上，这些区域并不能走一圈。相反，如果选择了错误的道路，那么流浪者将会困在这些走廊内。。
如果在受效应严重影响时切出，大概率会进入Level C-815Level C-815是一片处在天蓝色的天空下的白色平地，无边无际。地面的质感类似ABS树脂，但与之不同的是构成地面的这种材料非常坚固，无法以任何已知的物理手段破坏。Level C-815内存在日夜更替，周期为24小时。除此之外，据大量提交报告可知，该层级最多只能存在一名人员，在Level C-815存在人员时无法以任何方式切入此层级。。
更多出口尚待勘察，且非常规切出方式在该层级有效。
